For the first half of our first day, we spent some time cleaning the house which we were stationed in by removing dirt and rubbish and sweeping the floors, so that we have a clean surface to partake the process of using jack hammers to remove screed. After that half of our team members used the jack hammer to break the screed in the house and the other half worked together to remove the rubble to a disclosed location indicated by our supervisor. 

The second half of the day we continued working on the same site. However, since the group had a bit more experience on the task at hand, we were able to work more faster and efficiently than before. By the end of the day, we had almost finished removing the screed from one of the rooms on the 1st floor. 

This task was tiring and exhausting. Due to the high volume of dust we had to wear masks and work glasses. Many skills were learnt on the day, such as how to use a jack hammer etc. But we also realized that working in the construction industry was not easy, and therefore we got a different perspective on how we look at the people directly involved with the work in the construction environment. 

Although this day was the hardest day of the whole Community Build, we were successful as a team, and we managed very well in engaging in the tasks given.
